Welcome!
"The art that I am allowed to create should be the focus here. Nevertheless, I would like to leave a few words about my work and myself here ...
I'm Tanja Maria Amtmann. I am human, mother, wife and independent contemporary painter. And as such, I want my works to radiate a constant pulse of joy, prosperity, and happiness to the viewer. As an aesthete and as a lover of everything beautiful - especially in the world of interior design - I strive to give the room character and at the same time an individual look with my originals. As individual as we humans are."
"During my work, I build layer upon layer as paint transports emotion, captures and reflects light. I center myself in the solitude of my studio with nothing more than my acrylics, canvases, brushes and music. The latter is a driving force that drives the sets the pace and often even the direction.
Again and again I take a few steps back from the easel in order to concentrate on listening to what is still needed, what is still missing, in order to then come closer again. It's almost like a dance."
"Whether on small or large formats, my works play in a field of tension between the apparent randomness of the emergence and the small-scale, targeted creation.
Approaching these pictures should be exciting and joyful at the same time...just like strolling through them with your eyes and studying the colors and structures. "
"As a globetrotter, I find inspiration in places, but also in my garden, in music, feelings and relationships. And abstract art gives me the freedom to play with the materials & tools according to my intuition and mood without limits."
"I create something with my hands, my soul, put love and passion into it, a part of me. And the result of that hangs maybe in a home, an office or a doctor's office ... and in the very best of cases something gets moving. A smile, contentment, joy maybe. Happiness maybe. It's always a bit of magic I think. And it is this magic that makes me step up to the easel every day, inspired by joy and gratitude."
